Construction of a modern livestock market facility has commenced in Lakes State as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen livestock commercialization and improve market access for pastoral communities.
The new facility will include livestock holding grounds, veterinary inspection units, water points, and trading areas designed to support safe and efficient livestock transactions.
The project is expected to create employment opportunities, increase revenue generation, and encourage investment within the livestock value chain.
Community leaders welcomed the initiative, noting that improved market infrastructure will help farmers access better prices for their animals.
