Ministry Launches National Livestock Vaccination Campaign

The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries has officially launched a nationwide livestock vaccination campaign aimed at protecting cattle, goats, and sheep from major animal diseases affecting pastoral communities across South Sudan.

The campaign will be implemented in collaboration with state veterinary departments, development partners, and local community leaders. Mobile veterinary teams have been deployed to provide vaccination services, disease surveillance, and farmer awareness programs.

Speaking during the launch in Juba, ministry officials emphasized the importance of healthy livestock in supporting household incomes, food security, and national economic growth.

The campaign is expected to reach thousands of livestock keepers and strengthen disease prevention efforts in major livestock-producing regions.
